What we collect
When you send a fault report through this website, we collect:
- your name, phone number and email address
- the type of door and what it is doing
- any photo you choose to add
A photo taken on a phone can include the time and place it was taken.
When you ring or email us, we keep the details you give us, such as your name, contact details, the site address and the work you need.
The company that hosts this website keeps technical records of visits, such as IP addresses and browser types, to keep the site secure and working.
How we use it
We use your details to:
- reply to your fault report or enquiry
- give you a price and arrange a visit
- carry out and invoice the work
- keep the records the law asks us to keep
Your details are only used by us for these reasons and we never sell them.

- Replying to you and pricing a job, because you asked us to as a step before a contract.
- Carrying out and invoicing work, because it is needed for our contract with you.
- Keeping tax and accounting records, because the law requires it.
- Keeping the website secure, because it is in our legitimate interests and does not override yours.
Who sees it
Your details are seen by the people at Yorkshire Door Repairs who need them to deal with your job.
We also use companies that host our website and our email. They store your details for us and are not allowed to use them for anything else. If any of them handle your details outside the UK, we make sure they are protected in the way UK law requires.
We will only pass your details to anyone else if the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
We keep fault reports and enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows. If we do work for you, we keep the job and invoice records for 6 years after the end of the financial year they relate to, because the law requires it.

Complaints
